Summary
The client-focused Managing Director is part of a team responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with a diverse group of US and international investors including pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, insurance companies, family offices. Star Mountain puts a high value on a great attitude, passion, commitment, and drive. Star Mountain offers a broad range of tailored investment solutions and products for a wide range of investors.
Position Description:
- Develop and manage relationships with sophisticated institutional investors providing access to Star Mountain’s complementary set of investment offerings which include private credit (including, non-sponsored, value-added lending), structured and control private equity and secondaries.
- Attend and help manage meetings, industry events, and conferences.
- Speak at industry conferences.
- Leadership assistance including with continued positive team and brand development.
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience within investor relations.
- Proven track record of deep relationships with institutional investors.
- Experience providing either private credit, private equity, or secondaries products to investors.
- Team player with a great attitude and work ethic.
- Excited to work hard in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment building a distinctive organization.
- Ability to work independently with strong follow-through skills.
- Ability to be proactive and anticipate investor needs.
- Detail oriented with ability to look at and understand critical follow-up information for current or prospective investors.
Timing: Immediate
Location: Remote nationwide. Flexible work environment which may vary depending on the candidate. Option to work from Star Mountain’s New York or Tampa, Florida office.
Compensation: Base, bonus and equity package within a heavily aligned organizational culture.
