VACANCY NOTICE
POST OF TRANSPORTATION SECURITY TRAINEE
The Board of the Anguilla Air and Sea Ports Authority (AASPA) wishes to inform the general public of a job vacancy within AASPA.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill vacant posts of Transportation Security Trainee within the Clayton J Lloyd International Airport of the Anguilla Air & Sea Ports Authority.
Duties to include:
- Participate actively in comprehensive training sessions and practical exercises to learn security procedures and protocols.
- Attend all(majority) of scheduled training sessions, workshops, and practical exercises as required by the training curriculum.
- Observe and assist Transportation Security Officers in various security tasks, access control measures, including passenger screening and baggage checks.
- Study and comprehend relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing transportation security.
- Gain practical experience by observing and learning from security officers during the execution of their duties, including monitoring security checkpoints and conducting screenings.
- Familiarize oneself with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing transportation security and airport safety.
- Ensure strict adherence to established security procedures and protocols during training sessions and practical exercises.
- Demonstrate commitment and adherence to safety and security standards during the training program.
- Uphold ethical standards, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling security-related information and scenarios.
- Actively participate in feedback sessions and incorporate constructive feedback to enhance learning and performance.
- Strive for continuous improvement in knowledge and skills related to airport security practices
- Participate in disaster management activities designed to prepare for, mitigate against and respond to disaster events
- Fulfilling any additional duties pertinent to the role's requirements.

- Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally with management, employees, Airlins/Agents other Stakeholders etc

- Must be organized, accurate, thorough and able to monitor work for quality
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and be able to improve performance through management feedback
Qualifications:
- 3 CSEC or equivalent including English or equivalent; additional education or training in security-related fields is a plus.
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or customer service particularly in airport or transportation security, is advantageous.
Training and Experience:
- 1-year experience as a Security Officer
- Experience in security-related roles/duties.

- Copies of qualifications and or certifications
- 5-year employment history and/or activity history (2021 – 2026) to include written letters from employers covering the years of employment. Letters must include the following:
- Employment period (day/month/year)
