VACANCY NOTICE
POST OF MAINTENANCE FOREMAN
The Board of the Anguilla Air and Sea Ports Authority (AASPA) wishes to inform the general public of a job vacancy within the AASPA.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill one (1) vacant post of Maintenance Foreman in the Sea Port Division of the AASPA.
Duties to include:
- Assist with schedules for all Port Attendants (cleaning services and all other staff under the remit of the maintenance department)
- issue maintenance tasks list daily
- Checking all restroom equipment daily
- Checking all Port equipment and reporting any faults
- Keeping inventory; requesting and distributing cleaning supplies
- Keeping an inventory of all tools and equipment reporting missing or broken tools and equipment
- Regulation and monitoring of all A/C Units daily
- Ensure electrical fixtures and hardware checks are completed (repairs, oiling & replacements)
- Identify plumbing problems, repairs leaks and breaks above and below ground
- Ensure the removal of garbage bins to main collection area
- Maintaining all painted areas (interior and exterior)
- Maintaining the painting of vehicular parking lines
- Securing all maintenance tools and equipment
- Producing weekly and monthly reports
- Securing Sea Port building and property during threats of hurricanes and other natural disasters
- Participate in disaster management activities designed to prepare for, mitigate against and respond to disaster events
- Any other duties as assigned by the Port Manager, as directly related to the effective operations and the efficient functioning of the Sea Port

- Must be dependable and able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and be able to improve performance through management feedback
The incumbent must possess the following:
- Be able to use of variety of tools and equipment
- Provide technical support as lead maintenance
- Plan & coordinate work schedules
The requisite knowledge and skills are usually obtained in the acquisition of:
- A combination of education, training, certification & or 5-7 years of experience in general maintenance
- Demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities above including progressively responsible experience in building maintenance.
