VACANCY NOTICE
POST OF OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN
The Board of the Anguilla Air and Sea Ports Authority (AASPA) wishes to inform the general public of a job vacancy within AASPA.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill a vacant post of Operations Technician in the Anguilla Air & Sea Ports Authority.
Duties to include:
- Conduct routine inspections of perimeter, runways, taxiways, and aprons to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Respond to and assist in managing airfield incidents, including aircraft accidents and wildlife management.
- Monitor and maintain airfield lighting systems, signage, and navigational aids.
- Assist in airfield maintenance projects, including pavement repairs and infrastructure upkeep.
- Act in accordance with the pavement maintenance, including crack sealing, repaving, and re-marking as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to airfield inspections and incidents.
- Collaborate with the Duty Manager -Airfield Operations in ensuring airfield safety and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Act in accordance with the plan and schedule airfield operations tasks for runways, taxiways, and other airfield facilities.
- Coordinate with other airport departments to minimize operational disruptions during airfield operations activities.
- Act in accordance with the airfield maintenance activities and report any issues or discrepancies.
- Communicate with air traffic control, airlines, and other stakeholders to maintain a smooth airfield operation.
- Act in accordance with the preventive maintenance schedules for ground support equipment (GSE) and vehicles.
- Ensure timely repairs and maintenance of airport vehicles. Manage spare parts inventory and equipment procurement.
- Perform routine equipment checks and ensure that all machinery is in good working condition.
- Participate in removal of runway foreign object debris (FOD) and assist safety manager in documenting debris.
- Participate in emergency response and recovery efforts, such as runway foreign object debris (FOD) removal and damage assessment during and after incidents like storms, accidents, or security breaches.
- Manage resources effectively to meet operational demands.
- Collaborate with airport authorities, emergency services, and relevant agencies.
- Prepare and submit operational reports as required.
- Maintain records of airfield operation activities and equipment checks
- Participate in disaster management activities designed to prepare for, mitigate against and respond to disaster events
- Perform other related duties as required by the job function.

- Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally with Employees, etc
- Must be adept at problem solving including being able to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner

- Must be organized, accurate, thorough and able to monitor work for quality
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and be able to improve performance through management feedback
Qualifications
- The incumbent must have good communicative, computer and interpersonal skills.
- Five (5) CSEC or other related certifications
- Certificate training in either engineering, electric, plumbing, construction or related field would be an asset
- Previous experience in maintenance/operations or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Regulatory Requirements
- Colored copy of passport
- Two passport sized Photographs
- Copies of qualifications and or certifications
- 5-year employment history and/or activity history (2021 – 2026)
- Written documentation from employers covering the years of employment
