VACANCY NOTICE
POST OF HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
The Board of the Anguilla Air and Sea Ports Authority (AASPA) wishes to inform the general public of a job vacancy within the AASPA.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill vacant post of Human Resource Officer in the Anguilla Air & Sea Ports Authority.
Duties to include:
HR Related Duties
- Be an essential point of contact for HR department and HR information
- Assist in the planning, organizing and coordinating of the daily operations of the Human Resources Department through its SOP’s.
- Assist in the maintenance of current and accurate employee records by ensuring the maintenance of the HRIS and that the data is entered on a daily basis, processed and retrieved in accordance with established standards
- Maintain current and accurate employee records daily, and ensure filing is completed daily/weekly.
- Verify that staff requisition forms received from HOD’s and Managers are completed accurately and in accordance with approved Personnel Emolument Estimates Procedures.
- Assist HR Manager with the Hiring process including submitting job postings online or other approved means, organizing resumes and job applications and scheduling candidate interviews.
- Process job applications and assist with staff recruitment in accordance with established procedures via BestHR cloud.
- Participate in Performance Management reporting, Human Resource Audits to ensure organizational objectives and consistency of application of Human Resources policies and procedures by managers.
- Assist in the preparation and dissemination of information with respect to the appointments, acting, newsletter, and other HR Information where necessary.
- Liaise with external partners ie: insurance vendors, social security, Public Service Pension Fund and Immigration to ensure compliance
Training & Development duties
- Responsible for training of various departments within AASPA.
- Liaise with managers regarding necessary training programs aligned with operational needs, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
- Assist in the coordination of training, workshops, and simulations for staff across various department.
- Coordinate with Managers to identify and assess training needs through analysis of skill gaps, performance evaluations, and feedback from departments and employees.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, certifications, and performance evaluations for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Participate in the formulation and implementation of departmental goals, objectives, programmes and policies to improve standards and increase productivity.
- Provide guidance and support, to trainers and training coordinators to ensure consistency and quality in training delivery across the airport.
- Coordinate and deliver orientation program for new hires, introducing them to AASPA policies and procedures, organizational culture, expectations, and key contacts.
- Coordinate performance evaluation process for departments, to include probationary and yearly evaluations
- Ensure that employees who require developmental plans are issued and complete as required in collaboration with HRM
- Coordinate with relevant departments to simulate and evaluate responses to emergencies.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages continuous improvement.
- Participate in disaster management activities designed to prepare for, mitigate against and respond to disaster events
- Perform other related duties as required by the job function.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
- Certification in Training and Development is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resource functions and training and development
Training and Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of Labour Relations Acts 2018
- Experience and understanding of HR systems and databases
