Reporting to the Director, Employee Experience, the People & Culture Development Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The key focus of this role is to foster a culture of continuous learning and development, encouraging coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement. The individual will play an integral role in career development, training and succession planning.
Fulltime, permenant hybrid role (office/remote) Monday-Friday - 8AM-5PM
Responsibilities:
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
- Inputs on business unit restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
- Collaborates with managers to create and implement development plans for employees, focusing on skill enhancement and career growth.
- Promotes a culture of continuous feedback and improvement by encouraging regular coaching sessions and performance reviews.
- Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are attained.
- Creates and delivers HR related training sessions and/or facilitates workshops.
- Recommends new HR strategies.
- Identifies and facilitates process improvement projects to drive efficiency.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years’ experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Keen knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee & union relations, diversity, performance management.
- Sound knowledge of federal and provincial labor laws & regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant field.
- English & French, written & spoken
- CHRA (Strong asset).
- Knowledgeable with the principles of ISO9001:2015 standards applicable to assigned functions and role.
- Takes accountability and supports the team to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system.
- Uses a risk-based approach to identify risks and opportunities which may affect conformity of products and services rendered and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent Interpersonal & customer facing skills
- Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of English is required for this specific position.
