Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent of the role will be responsible for coordinate all inventory control related activities by executing inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock variance and maximizes stock system and paperwork accuracy. Furthermore, the Inventory Control Coordinator carries responsibilities for working with all operations on all shifts to ensure necessary functions are carried out correctly and in a timely manner.
Day Shift - 7AM-3PM (additional hours may be required on occasion based on business needs)
Responsibilities:
• Develop the company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling bin level accuracy.
• Manage and control inventory consolidation on a regular basis.
• Manage and control monthly inventory taking for all clients.
• Handle and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks.
• Manage, control and report Scheduled Cycle Counting.
• Monitor all Inbound receipts and managed appropriately.
• Provide management monthly reporting on inventory performance for all clients.
• Perform daily reconciliation of WMS to client inventory and report variances.
• Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory related issues.
• Write and maintain accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes and functions.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of the warehouse management system.
• Identify & facilitate process improvement projects to drive efficiency.
• Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years experience, preferably in the 3PL, warehousing and distribution sector
- Relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in inventory management, an asset.
- Experience with ERP WMS Systems, Korber, SAP, Oracle
- Experience with WMS implementation and enhancement processes
- Experience with LEAN principles, Kaizen continuous improvement or similar production tools within a high-volume environment, an asset.
Education
- College degree or relevant work experience (supply chain or administration preferred)
Competencies & Skills
- Detailed understanding of MRP and inventory control management systems and WMS, Korber, Oracle, SAP
- Understanding of Logistics environment, distribution & transportation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Very detailed oriented.
- Ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent knowledge of Windows environment.
Salary Range: $50K-$53K depending on experience
